The Australian WWOOF Book provides details about more than 1,500 hosts throughout Australia. When you buy this book you will receive a 12 month membership of WWOOF Australia, which allows you to visit any of these Australian hosts. You will also receive a small volunteer accident insurance plan that covers you while you are WWOOFing on a registered Australian WWOOF Host property.
The WWOOF book includes nearly 1,300 farms practicing Organic farming. They offer to teach you aspects of Organic Growing, Bio-dynamics or Permaculture. Cultural experience is a valuable additional
benefit for these hosts and for WWOOFers who stay with them.
Cultural exchange is the main reason for visiting the other non-farm hosts. These are quite diverse, and include nurseries, schools, people running home businesses such as guest houses, publishers and writers. |

This book costs AUD$55 for a single person, or AUD$65 for any two people travelling together. The price includes a small built-in
insurance plan (basic AUD$5 first person, AUD$10 for the second). Note the WWOOF insurance policy is very basic (maximum AUD$10,000) and would be unlikely to cover all your medical expenses in the event of an accident. We advise you to ensure that you have adequate cover to suit your needs.

We print a January & July edition of the WWOOF book each year. You choose which book to order, either the one that is most up to date when you arrive, or the current edition even if you arrive when the next edition is in print, so you can contact hosts in advance. Once you join you can
e-mail us for an amendment list which includes alterations,
deletions and new hosts so you always have up to date information. |

WWOOF Australia's List of Independent Hosts

WWOOF Australia's List of Independent Hosts aims to cover all those countries that do not have a national WWOOF organisation. When you buy this book you will receive a 12 month membership of WWOOF Australia, which allows you to visit any of these Independent Hosts. There is no insurance included in this membership.
At the present time the list has over 420 entries in 38 countries. Over 275 of these are in Europe, with Ireland and Portugal being the main countries. There are over 60 places in the Americas, over 35 in Asia and over 30 in Africa. |
